Plant a Seed of Hope
Deaconess Cynthia B. Parker
"Plant a Seed of Hope"
God has shown His favor on me to share my gift in this encouraging ministry. The Dallas District Resource Center has given me the opportunity to facilitate classes for women. This specific program is targeted to women who are coming out of prison.
They have the chance to learn about how to re-enter society. God has blessed me to minister to these women and meet several important needs. First, these women need to know that God has a plan for them [Jeremiah 29:11] and that plan deals with there spiritual life. Secondly, these women need to know that God loves them and will forgive them. Thirdly, they need to know that re-entering society will present some challenges and support in ever area is there for them.
Being incarcerated can be devastating to a person's mind and spirit. My intention is to plant a seed of God's hope and let them know about Jesus Christ. I was once one of those women, but God give me a new life. Seeing so many women come out of prison with no hope or sense of direction. Prompted me to ask God how I can help.
